• Old floor coverings must be completely removed (This includes Tack Strips).
• Rooms must be clear of furniture, appliances, tools and other building supplies. Floors must be clean and ready for refinishing of wood. This INCLUDES carpet, Padding and other floor coverings.
• Plastic sheeting is recommended for doorways to prevent a majority of the dust from the leaving the work area. Harris Custom Wood Floors is NOT responsible for clean-up of the house.
• Matching old floors with patches may not be an exact match.
• Some stains such as water/pet may not sand out.

Preparing your home or job site for wood floor installation

• Half of the payment is due upon being scheduled and the balance is due upon completion.
• Rooms must be clear of furniture, appliances, tools and other building supplies.
• Floors must be clean and ready for installation of wood. This INCLUDES carpet, padding and other floor coverings. 
• Plastic sheeting is recommended for doorways to prevent a majority of the dust from the leaving the work area. Harris Custom Wood Floors is NOT responsible for clean-up of the house. 
• During the cold season, homes must have heat to maintain proper climate.
• Trim and doors must be taken off prior to installation.
